Welcome to Chapter 8 of our Wine Series and this is a special edition celebrating the wines of France.  French wines are renowned worldwide for their historical significance, quality and variety and for the “terroir”. France has been producing wine for over 2,500 years, and its winemaking traditions have influenced wine regions globally. With a variety of wine regions, each with its unique climate, soil, and grape varieties it boasts some of the most famous wine making regions of the world including Bordeaux, Burgundy, Champagne, and the Rhône Valley.

And we have chosen 21st November to host this event – a big day in the French winemaking calendar  – celebrating the release of the first Beaujolais Nouveau but it also acts as a broader celebration of French wine culture and the joy of winemaking. It’s a time for wine lovers to come together and celebrate the end of the harvest season and the beginning of a new vintage. So what better time to raise a glass to French wine – Santé!

The evening starts at 6.45pm with canapés and arrival drink, with food served 7:30pm and aims to finish at 11pm.  There is also an opportunity to purchase the wine on the night if it takes your fancy. This package adds a beautiful night’s sleep and plentiful breakfast to finish the event in style.

So put 21st November in your diary now and we will confirm menus at a later date.  This is a wine evening not to be missed. £105 per person for an exquisite tour of some of the best French wines with food pairings. This event will be held in one of our newly renovated private function suites.
