Welcome to Chapter 10 of our Wine Series which is a celebration of English wine. Due to England’s cooler climate, especially in the South, it’s the perfect temperature ideal for growing certain grape varieties such as Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. Over the past two decades, the quality of English wine has drastically improved, and many vineyards are now producing wines that are being recognised at global wine competitions. This has led to a surge in both local and international demand. Whether you are a seasoned wine enthusiast or new to the world of wine, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

And to pair with these delicious wines, our brigade of Chefs will be creating a tempting tasting menu starting with canapés followed by four-courses of English inspired dishes, prepared with fresh ingredients from our Walton Lodge Farm Estate and other local suppliers.  This is always a really generous event with guests returning time and time again for the wine and food pairings…

The evening starts at 6.45pm with canapés and arrival drink, with food served 7:30pm and aims to finish at 11pm.  There is also an opportunity to purchase the wine on the night if it takes your fancy.

So put the 26th June in your diary now and we will confirm menus at a later date.  This is a wine evening not to be missed. £95 per person for an exquisite tour of some of the best English wines with food pairings. This event will be held in one of our newly renovated private function suites.
